DESCRIPTION:NYPH has been hard at work curating a reading/watching list of books and films relevant to our work and interests. This summer\, we will be convening for our first in-person book club meetup! NYPH Book Club: Regenerative Economics Join the New York Passive House community for the launch of our inaugural NYPH Book Club: a new space to explore the ideas shaping the future of the built environment while connecting with fellow practitioners\, students\, and emerging leaders. Our first selection\, Regenerative Economics by John Fullerton\, is the perfect lead-in to this year's Regenerative Metropolis Symposium in September. We're so excited to announce that John Fullerton will keynote this year's symposium\, and will hold a book signing!Together\, we'll explore the principles of regenerative economic systems and consider how they can inform the way we design\, build\, finance\, and steward our communities. Whether you're planning to attend the symposium or are simply curious about regenerative thinking\, this is an opportunity to deepen your understanding\, exchange perspectives\, and arrive ready with thoughtful questions for John Fullerton himself. We'll meet over two evenings\, with each session covering one half of the book: Thursday\, July 30 Part I Thursday\, August 27 Part II Schedule 6:00 7:30 PM Facilitated book discussion 7:30 8:30 PM Optional rooftop hangout during golden hour and sunset We're excited to be hosted by VITA New York\, a new luxury residential development in Hudson Yards designed to Passive House principles. After the discussion\, stick around to enjoy the rooftop\, continue the conversation\, and connect with fellow members of the Passive House community as the sun sets over the city. All are welcome! NYPH members\, NextGen participants\, and anyone interested in regenerative design and the future of the built environment. You're welcome to attend either session independently or join us for both.
