The educational portion of the forum kicks off with  "Massive Learnings from Massachusetts Multifamily," where Beth Campbell and Alexander Gard-Murray from Passive House Massachusetts present synthesized “best of” practices from more than 20 certified multifamily projects. Drawing from in-depth interviews with over 40 industry professionals, we will explore central ventilation issues, air infiltration “gotchas,” and strategies for reducing costs while navigating the most challenging aspects of passive building certification.

Second in the lineup is a deep-dive panel discussion on East Gables, a 28-unit all-electric project in Amherst. The conversation features a narrative of the project lifecycle from the perspective of the full team, including developer Laura Baker of Valley Community Development, architect Tom Chalmers of Austin Design Cooperative, engineer Jason Curtis of Tighe & Bond, contractor Lynne Badgett of Western Builders, and CPHC/verifier Mark Newey of Airtight Energy Consulting.
