Architects, engineers, building performance experts, and policy leaders will gather at the 2026 AIA Tri-State Conference on November 4 for “Modular Passive House Affordable Housing: Replicable Solutions for People & Planet.” The session is officially at capacity.

Grayson Jordan of Paul A. Castrucci Architects, Jordan Goldman of Zero Energy Design, Michael Lynch of Murray Engineering, and Vera Voropaeva of NYSERDA will examine how modular Passive House construction can help deliver durable, healthy, and affordable housing in the face of rising energy costs and increasingly demanding climate conditions.

Drawing on real-world NYC projects, the session will explore what worked, what didn’t, and what can be scaled—from construction costs and schedules to energy performance, resident comfort, and resilience. Together, the speakers will consider how cross-disciplinary collaboration and thoughtful policy can help move high-performance affordable housing from individual projects toward replicable solutions.
